Waterfalls

One of the highlights of your stay is the chance to walk behind a stunning 177-foot waterfall at South Falls. This unique experience is part of the Trail of Ten Falls, a renowned hiking route winding through lush forest and showcasing a series of spectacular waterfalls along a rugged canyon. The 7.2-mile loop, with an 800-foot elevation change, offers a moderate challenge. Shorter hikes are possible with several connecting trails and separate entry points. For safety reasons, pets are not allowed on the Canyon Trail but are welcome on other trails if leashed. The North Rim Trail, which opened in July 2023, is a one-mile, highly accessible path with a compacted surface and a beautiful viewpoint of North Falls, accessible from the new North Canyon Trailhead and parking area.

Outdoor Adventures

The park offers more than 35 miles of backcountry trails, perfect for mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding. For wildlife enthusiasts, the remote areas are home to bears and cougars.

Daytime Activities

The South Falls day-use area features expansive lawns, barbecue stands, picnic shelters, tables, a playground, horseshoe pits, an off-leash area for dogs, and a charming creek. Since its opening in 1933, this area has been a popular spot for potlucks, family reunions, and weddings.

The new North Canyon day-use area includes picnic tables, an ADA-accessible restroom, and 59 parking spots, including three ADA-accessible ones. This area also provides access to the Nature Play Area for kids and the accessible North Rim Trail with a stunning viewpoint of North Falls.

Electric Vehicles

For those with electric vehicles, charging stations are available at the South Falls Day-use parking area.
